Linnea M. DOuglas | MA Master’s Level Clinician
I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have been in the field for 6 years and have experience working with individuals in inpatient and outpatient levels of care.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults. I have worked with children as young as 5 years old and adults who are 60+. I work with individuals with a variety of mental health needs such as depression, anxiety, trauma and grief/loss.
My therapeutic approach is person centered. I believe in creating a space in which clients are able to freely express themselves without fear of judgment. In addition, I ensure to provide psychoeducation and use of holistic practices to assist clients in achieving wellness. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) within my sessions.
I have a strong passion for working with children and adolescents as much of my professional experience has been working within those populations. However, I also enjoy working with adults as well. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives. Therefore, I focus on identifying and building strengths within a client to assist in confidence building to sustain wellness.
In my free time I love to watch movies and listen to music. I love poetry and reading. I enjoy traveling and having the opportunity to experience different cultures. I also love spending time with my loved ones and pets.
I look forward to working with you on your journey to healing. Wellness is a journey that can be challenging yet rewarding in many ways. Please give yourself grace as you take the first step in healing. Please feel free to reach out and schedule a consultation. Together, we can help you on your road to wellness and growth.
